I never read enough as a kid. I don’t write enough now. But I play with words, chew on them over breakfast and sometimes lunch, read them in the bathtub, publish them in magazines, finagle them into essays and occasionally poems and if I’m really lucky and renegade, maybe a story. And I love Charleston. So this blog is my ode to writing, writers and the written word in this poetic old port city.
